Christmas 2012

So it's my favorite time of year again! This year I decided to skip Black Friday because I felt that it was overhyped and the prices weren't really worth the chaos. All year I have been putting up links on Twitter (@xmasconcierge) of gifts that I thought would be unique or just must haves. I will be posting the complete list in the coming days. If you have a suggestion or if there is anything that is really popular in your country please let me know! I'm really interested to know what everyone reading my blog wants for Christmas. XOXO

Purpose of Concierge Network

Myspace was getting to me. It was difficult for me to post to and I wasn't sure everyone in the network was really reading the posts. I came here so that I can control who is sharing in the discussion. I have been in this business since 1999. I have met some very ambitious people. Some are out for themselves and eventually crash and burn. I am willing to help someone if they are willing to help themselves and if they are willing to share what they have learned. I don't believe in just taking and not giving back. On Myspace I created this network for those in the industry to help each other grow. I did see some effort. But it seemed to me that most people wanted to take away from the discussions but didn't want to contribute. So although I will check in on the Myspace forum I prefer to be here. I want everyone to feel free. I will be posting a blog weekly. There are many avenues that a concierge can take. I want to throw some out each week and you can decide if it will work for your business model. A lot of people call themselves a concierge. I think that the industry needs definition. Boundaries. It is challenging enough explaining what we do on a daily basis, but it complicates it when people have heard of a "pillow concierge" or something just as trivial. I take what I do seriously. I love the challenge of exceeding a person's expectations and making them smile. That is why I am here. Please post your comments and your questions. Feel free to read my Money blog also. It is there to help educate all of us who want our money to start working for us. I will be posting blog entries weekly. I am NOT selling anything. I want to help educate and be educated.
